Home Wi-Fi extenders, mesh and networking

Wi-Fi that reaches every room, across Hertfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Essex and Bedfordshire. We don't supply broadband or routers: we take the Wi-Fi you already have and extend it with mesh points, access points and network cabling. Rooms that drop out, a garden office with no signal, a doorbell that misses visitors: we find where the signal runs out and put it back.

The house from above with Wi-Fi spreading from the middle of the house Rings of signal spread from an access point in the middle of the house, out over the garden towards the office at the back.

Three ways to cover a house

Switch between them to see how each one reaches the back of the house and the garden office.

An illustration, not a survey. Walls, floors and where the router sits all change the picture. The survey measures the real one.

AMesh Wi-Fi
Extra points around the house that pass the signal along. Quick to fit, no cables.
BCabled access points
A cable from the router to each access point. The strongest, steadiest option, and the one I recommend where a cable can go.
CThe garden office
A cable out to the office or workshop with an access point at the end, instead of a signal that just about reaches.
DA switch for the cameras
Somewhere for wired cameras, the TV and the games console to plug in, so they stop competing for Wi-Fi.

Cameras are only as good as the network

A battery camera or video doorbell with a weak signal often misses the start of a clip, or the visitor altogether. Wired cameras don't use Wi-Fi, but the recorder still needs a solid link to your router for the app to work away from home.

So when I fit cameras, I check the network they'll sit on. And when I sort a network, it's ready for cameras later. See CCTV installation and doorbells and wireless cameras.

Wi-Fi for businesses

Offices, shops, workshops and yards get the same approach as a house. We don't install the broadband or router: we find where the signal runs out, then extend it with access points, wired back to the router wherever possible.

For barns and outbuildings a cable can't reach, a point‑to‑point wireless link carries the network across. If you need cameras on it too, see commercial CCTV.
